NBC 홈페이지의 하단에 Jobs란을 클릭해 들어가 보았다. 유명 방송인 및 방송사 사장의 인터뷰를 보면 공통적으로 항상 시작할 때는 mailroom에서 일했다고 하니 혹시 그런 자리라도 났나 싶어서 말이다.

그 중에서 entertainment associate program으로 들어가 봤더니 이런 문장이 등장한다.

NBC, the entertainment industry's most recognized brand, has career development opportunities for individuals interested in a career in programming. Entertainment Program Associates gain hands on experience in the development and management of entertainment programming. Program Associates will analyze/develop scripts and provide creative input to writers and producers on review of scripts, stories, casting and scheduling of programs. Program Associates attend table readings, run-throughs, tapings, rough cut screenings, notes meetings, and pitches. The Entertainment Associates Program is not a training program. NBC gives deserving candidates with great potential a chance to build skills and gain real-world experience. Successful graduates of the program move into Creative Executive positions within the NBC Network or NBC Studios.

deserving : (상ㆍ벌 등에) 대해 당연한

관심 있는 사람은 한번 응모해 볼 만하네. 우리나라 방송국은 저런 시스템이 아마 없을 걸. 일종의 인턴십이라 할 수 있겠군.

Moon : I wanna be an associate of any famous producer or director.

Jin : Why? I didn't know you're interested in that field.

Moon : I'm curious about rough cuts. It might be fun!

문 : 유명 피디나 감독 조수 좀 해봤으면 좋겠다.

진 : 왜요? 그 분야에 관심이 있는 줄 몰랐네요.

문 : 방송 안된 미편집분 보고 싶어서. 꽤 재밌을 거야.
