ICT-based weather forecast system
Korea ranks the sixth place in the world in accuracy of its weather forecast. Using a supercomputer, Korea Meteorological Administration's information and communications center analyzes the weather data sent by Chollian satellite and nationwide observation facilities and produces 80,000 forecast data per day. Along with this, it is developing 'Korean style number forecast model' suitable for geographical features of the Korean peninsula. We will introduce Korea's weather forecast system that has become more accurate and quicker using ICT technology.
