Door-to-Door, Indoor Location Information Service

  • ÀÔ·ÂÀÏ: 2014-01-06

A navigation application developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). When you enter a destination, then a small drone comes flying. If you open the entrance door of a building, it goes inside the building and guide you the way to the door of your destination. If you are worried about a collision accident, then how about this app developed by a French research team? If you enter gender, age and height, it guides the way indoor by measuring user's walking pace and time. In South Korea, indoor navigation can be used in places such as COEX exhibition center and large shopping malls. A domestic research team, which has developed an indoor navigation technology using Wi-Fi installed in buildings, is currently developing an app that does more than just guiding ways. This app detects user's location by floor and sends the user a discount coupon when the user approaches a certain shop. This is an era when users enter name of the stores, not the buildings in navigations. We will introduce the indoor navigation technology that continues to evolve.
