See all traffic information at a glance. Convenient traffic control system.
For some time now, people don't have to wait for their bus aimlessly at a bus stop.

They can check the estimated time of arrival via smartphones in advance. Or electronic

display boards at bus stations will tell you when the next bus will arrive via automated

voice system.
Like this, traffic information can be provided systematically as Seoul Transport

Operation & Information Service(Topis) has introduced traffic control system. South

Korea's traffic situation is monitored throughout the day and the data is provided to

road users in real time. During Chusok holiday, highway control system finds out if

there is a traffic jam due to vehicles heading to their hometowns. In the past, it took up

to 12 hours to get to Busan from Seoul on Chusok. But lately the time nearly halved

mainly due to the Korea Highway Corp.'s traffic control system. From the Central

Monitoring Center, it monitors national highway conditions through high definition

CCTV cameras installed every 2 kilometers. Road users can access information on

accidents and congested areas via Korea Highway's website or downloading its

application. It can also send you text messages on the fastest routes. We introduce you

the traffic control system that is in charge of road traffic in South Korea.
